Joanne- The picture doesn't do it justice. It is absolutely breathtaking!
What beauty! Lilacs are my favorite! The dear husband and I are determined that whenever we have our dream home, we want to plant a lilac bush out by our bedroom window, so we can spend spring nights with lilac breezes wafting in!
Anita- Oh, that sounds sooo nice. and so fragrant! I wish I had one beside my window.
Those peonies are gorgeous. Mine started out beautiful but were beaten down by the many downpours that we've been having. Lilacs don't do well here - too hot.
Karen- Every year when ours are in bloom the rain and wind comes. Many times they have been beaten down, so I absolutely know how you feel. It's shame when that happens, so this year I've taken lots of pics. It's putting on quite a show for us.
These are swo beautiful! What a lovely place to live. You are so fortunate. I can almost smell the lilacs.

Awww - made me miss our old house where we had a "fence" of lilac bushes. I miss them! My peonies are a few weeks from blooming yet but they WILL be on my table! LOVELY photos!

SuZen- I wish we had planted more lilacs years ago along our garden fence. They would have been gorgeous by now.
Cindy- I think the peony is the queen of flowers. I can't imagine anything being more beautiful.
Peonies and lilacs do not grow in our part of the country so I really appreciate your sharing yours with us.
Very pretty...We have a lilac bush in our yard...It was very pretty this year, but no longer in bloom.

Your peonies look like a tree!! How wonderful they are. And lilacs are one of my favorites. A lot of people don't like the smell but one of my bosses brings me lilacs each spring.
